BOARD BY SNAIDERO: AN INNOVATIVE (AND BEAUTYFUL) ITALIAN KITCHEN

I don't like advertising about kitchens.

They always shows largerooms, in this great disponibility every furniture seems wonderful , the most trivial too.

For this reason I found the follow image as something really new, innovative, and telling about good design. It's a well-known fact that the home as we know it is undergoing a major transition. The space we have to work with is smaller than ever before, yet our needs are greater and more complex.

That's not to mention the contemporary lifestyle which requires our pads to be functional, technological, ergonomic and multi-purpose at the same time.

Board, designed for Snaidero by Pietro Arosio, is just what people with these needs have been crying out for.

The solution is substantial, compact and aesthetically light without taking anything away from functionality and ergonomics.

It is a smart, space-saving solution which effectively addresses the basic demands of home living.

Board manages to be fully operational in just a few centimetres, incorporating a hob and a sizeable two-tub sink area.

Furthermore, a convenient snack top is situated at the end of the unit where you can sit down to breakfast or enjoy a quick snack, while a waste bin has been set into the block to allow you to dispose of organic waste as you prepare food.

WHAT KIND OF STYLE FOR AN ITALIAN ARCHITECT'S HOME? A loft in Bologna (IT)

Image/cucinella-05.jpg

An open space where life can play without limitations, where sensations, tastes, memories, culture, passions meet themselves.

A delicate mix of vintage furniture, ancient paintings, raw materials.

This is Mario Cucinella's home.

Image/cucinella-07.jpg

Cucinella is a great architect: he has began to work in the Renzo Piano Building Workshop, and after this experience he founded his own studio in Bologna, operating all over the world.

His home is sustainable, hand-made where it is possible, technological but discreetly.

Lights, green, iron, bricks, wood, glass, leather, cement are combined with great ability.

The final sensation is that we are looking for a place with a strong personality, just apparently random, but indeed deeply cared. Like an Armani dress.

In this approach, I recognize (and appreciate) the way of life of somebody that live in Italy, but taking care to the whole world.

GOOD VIBRATIONS: PAOLO BINI

Today I want to tell you about a young italian artist that love very much: Paolo Bini.
Paolo Bini works with light, colour, emotion. No forms, no memory: nothing other.

Every his painting is a travel that carries us to discover the secret assonance between different shades of color, revealing unexpected emotional landscapes.

His works can be traditional paintings, but often temporary installation, dialoguing with historical contests, where he discovers hidden, shared vibrations.

He has exposed at the XIII Italian Culture week, La Habana (Cuba), at Grad Kultural Center in Belgrade (Serbia), at 54th Venice Biennale curated by Vittorio Sgarbi, at Centro Di Sarro Project Italy-South Africa in Cape Town.

In 2014 Paolo will be undertaking a residency at Scuola del Graffito, Montemurro, Potenza, Italy.

Fluo means to slide, to glide, to flow, to move.

With his very slim structural profiles, this sliding outdoor system product in Italy exalts lightness and elegance, using technology to maximize and harmonize thermal transmittance, acoustic and aesthetic performances.

HOME - MADE FURNITURE

Today I want tell about home-made interior funriture. Everybody, using curiosity, fantasy and suggestions can transform old objects, giving them a new life.

The silver chair was discovered by my wife in a junk dealer's market: it was not very old, brown painted and with an orrible flowery tissue.

I was disgusted , but my wife (she's not architect, but surely an istinctive artist) absolutely wonts it.

Come back home, we begin to work . The form of the chair was the most interesting component, so we decided to valorize it.

Painting all the surfaces with  spray silver and gold  colors, the object revealed a unsuspected grace.

Now this chair stand near an old gramophone, with an hand made olive-wood lamp  and a steel glasseuse marked "Moet et Chandon" used as flower vase.

What do you think about it?

This lamp, with its disposal only apparently causal, actively involves the ceiling in the design environment.
Elegant in its simplicity, every time recurs in different and personalized compositions.

Questa lampada, con la sua disposizione solo apparentemente causale, coinvolge attivamente  il soffitto nel design dell'ambiente.
Elegante nella sua essenzialità, ogni volta  si ripropone secondo composizioni diverse e personalizzate
