Architectural vision: ANA AMADO.

Ana Amado is a great spanish photographer.

In her works, she reach the sense and the history of a project.

This is the Hipòdromo de la Zarzuela a Madrid: a powerful but misunderstood work by Arniches y Domínguez (arquitectos) y Torroja (ingeniero), realized in 1941

The photographic vision of Ana Amado enhances the tension of the lines sought by the authors.

Norvegian Dream: WILD REINDEER CENTRE PAVILION!

The Norwegian Wild Reindeer Pavilion sits on a spectacular site on the outskirts of Dovrefjell National Park

The building design is based on a contrast between a rigid outer shell and a soft organic-shaped inner core.

The core is shaped like rock or ice is eroded by natural forces like wind and running water.

A wooden interior is placed within a rectangular frame of raw steel and glass.

Its shape creates a protected and warm gathering place, while still preserving visitor’s access to spectacular views.

Windows as Tuscany pictures: CORSICO & LISSONI !

 

This rigorous project , realized in the countryside near Grosseto, maximizes the internal / external 

relationship.

Each window is designed like a painting: size and frame are the result of a detailed study.

The Tuscan countryside is the true protagonist.

The interior walls, paintings of absolute white, exalt the changing colors of the Italian gentle nature.

Ironic Factory: ANDREA OLIVA AT REGGIO EMILIA !

With a conservation and innovation mixed process, the italian architect Andrea Oliva returns a new dignity to an old foundry, looking to it like a new place, but also as a strong testimony of the industrial history of the territory.

Today this building, called "Capannone (Shed)19", has become a new operative space for offices, meetings, conferences.

Skyscraper-concept: Renzo Piano at MIAMI !

My fellow citizen Renzo Piano signed a new skyscraper-concept in North Shore park, Miami.

The skyscraper appears to be levitating above the trees: the dream of LC about the Modern Way of Life.

AMAZING ITALY: VALADIER A GENGA

The Temple of the Valadier is a peculiar church located at Genga, Marche, near the Frasassi Waterfalls.

 Pope Leo XII ordered the construction, in 1828, on the basis of a draft drawn up by the architect Giuseppe Valadier. 

The church, built according to a plan in the shape of an octagon, has a domed roof covered with lead plates and is perfectly inserted in a cave . 

It was built in travertine, proceeds from a quarry that is located upstream.

ARCHITECTURAL CARAPACES OF LIGHT: GEHRY A PARIS!

In 2006 Frank Gehry realized this building for Louis Vuitton Foundation in Paris.

Every his  project is always an amazing surprise, born during an hard but immaginative intellectual route. 

Transparent canvas and carapaces covers the structure of the museum, creating spaces where the light is the first architectural element.
