WONDE(R)SIGN: NUAGE!

Elica is an italian company, that produce high quality design hoods.
Nuage is a wall-mounted cooking hood, but indeed it's something more....

In fact it's a dynamic event along the surface of the wall, a refined and elegant gesture , innovative in the kitchen conception design.
The skin of the wall surface opens itself to receive an  integrated plastic movement.

It's seeming to grow out from the wall.

Divertissement - A DECO' LAMP BY A GREAT-GRANDFATHER (perhaps): VITTORIALE !

Napoleone Martinuzzi was an italian glass-artist at the begin of the XX century.
He brought strong formal and technical innovation  in the Venetian glass handwork tradition.
His works are exposed in several Art Museum all around the world.

Venini proposes today a refined choice of his production, and overall I find delicious this lamp hand-made: VITTORIALE.
Originally created in 1926, it's a composition of fine crystal, gold-leaf and zapphire.
Probably Napoleone Martinuzzi wasn't my parent, but surely he was a great artist.

Best Regards, Andrea Martinuzzi

PLASTIC WOOD: WAIMEA !

Sometimes web gives unexpected gems.

Pierre Renart is a young designer of Montreuil, France.
He has designed, with other objects, this Boreau, creating the series "Waimea".

A simple but elegant furniture, in which hickory is the sumptuous protagonist , and the wood becomes plastic - acrobatic material.

The final result is a surprising, harmonic curve

BOARD BY SNAIDERO: AN INNOVATIVE (AND BEAUTYFUL) ITALIAN KITCHEN

I don't like advertising about kitchens.

They always shows largerooms, in this great disponibility every furniture seems wonderful , the most trivial too.

For this reason I found the follow image as something really new, innovative, and telling about good design. It's a well-known fact that the home as we know it is undergoing a major transition. The space we have to work with is smaller than ever before, yet our needs are greater and more complex.

That's not to mention the contemporary lifestyle which requires our pads to be functional, technological, ergonomic and multi-purpose at the same time.

Board, designed for Snaidero by Pietro Arosio, is just what people with these needs have been crying out for.

The solution is substantial, compact and aesthetically light without taking anything away from functionality and ergonomics.

It is a smart, space-saving solution which effectively addresses the basic demands of home living.

Board manages to be fully operational in just a few centimetres, incorporating a hob and a sizeable two-tub sink area.

Furthermore, a convenient snack top is situated at the end of the unit where you can sit down to breakfast or enjoy a quick snack, while a waste bin has been set into the block to allow you to dispose of organic waste as you prepare food.

HOME - MADE FURNITURE

Today I want tell about home-made interior funriture. Everybody, using curiosity, fantasy and suggestions can transform old objects, giving them a new life.

The silver chair was discovered by my wife in a junk dealer's market: it was not very old, brown painted and with an orrible flowery tissue.

I was disgusted , but my wife (she's not architect, but surely an istinctive artist) absolutely wonts it.

Come back home, we begin to work . The form of the chair was the most interesting component, so we decided to valorize it.

Painting all the surfaces with  spray silver and gold  colors, the object revealed a unsuspected grace.

Now this chair stand near an old gramophone, with an hand made olive-wood lamp  and a steel glasseuse marked "Moet et Chandon" used as flower vase.

What do you think about it?

Argent
