The Temple of the Valadier is a peculiar church located at Genga, Marche, near the Frasassi Waterfalls.
Pope Leo XII ordered the construction, in 1828, on the basis of a draft drawn up by the architect Giuseppe Valadier.
The church, built according to a plan in the shape of an octagon, has a domed roof covered with lead plates and is perfectly inserted in a cave .
It was built in travertine, proceeds from a quarry that is located upstream.
